July
- On July 29, 2025 we removed the Roth Conversion feature from Money Flows and migrated previous Roth conversion accounts. Roth conversions will now be entered as Transfers to each user’s own Roth account in Money Flows.
- As of July 1, 2025 all users may manage their membership in their Account Settings.
- On July 2, 2025 we updated the Max Spending Withdrawal Strategy to ignore accounts marked as “Exclude this account from your withdrawal strategies.”
- On July 2, 2025 we released the following enhancements to our Monte Carlo model: We are now using an Average Annual Growth Rate (AAGR) instead of a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) when running the Monte Carlo forecast. (The linear forecast continues to use CAGR.) Normally-distributed random rates of return are now 100%-correlated, meaning that within each of the 1000 paths, all accounts go up or down in unison each month.
- On July 2, 2025 we updated the standard deviations used with all rates of return.
- On July 17, 2025 we removed the “Total Debt” category and migrated existing “Total Debt” to “Other Debt.”
- On July 24, 2025 we removed all itemized deductions for state tax calculations. We will only use the state specific standard deduction assumptions for state tax calculations until a future release.
- On July 24, 2025 we removed the “Change to 2017 Tax Rates” Toggle.
- On July 24, 2025 we implemented key provisions of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA).

- On June 26, 2025 we removed the optimistic and pessimistic forecasts from the Monte Carlo Explorer.
- On June 24, 2025 we moved the Notes to the My Plan Summary and Scenario Manager. Your notes will sync between the two areas.
- On June 24, 2025 we removed the Profile and Goals section of My Plan. You may now access your birth date and name, as well as add and remove a spouse in Member Settings. Your retirement and longevity ages can be found in the My Plan Summary.
- On June 18, 2025 we enhanced the Roth Explorer and you may now optimize Roth conversions based upon converting to your own Roth account. When applying Roth Conversions to your plan, they will be added as Transfers.
- On June 5, 2025 we moved the Help Center, Classroom, Community, Coach, Advice and Release Notes to the top menu.

- On May 14, 2025 we released our redesigned Overview page to all users. Our Overview now gives you easier access to key financial planning insights and clear guidance on your next steps along with making it easy for you to understand the impact of decisions on net worth.

- On April 29, 2025 we released our Better Rates enhancement introducing new ways to set your rates for inflation, appreciation, and returns.
- On April 24, 2025 we removed the Bookmark feature.
- On April 22, 2025 we added the new Colorado Family and Medical Leave payroll tax.
- On April 8, 2025 we released the Summary of Changes. This feature enhancement allows you to easily identify which scenario items are shared with the baseline and which items differ from the baseline.
- On April 8, 2025 we removed the Strengthen Your Plan feature.
- On April 7, 2025 we released a redesigned Overview page. The page is available upon creating some new accounts and to beta test users.

- We enhanced the account connection feature to ensure that once your financial institutions are connected, the accounts are linked to your plan.

- On March 17, 2025 we updated the long term care assumptions. According to the most recent Genworth survey, the median cost of care in an assisted living facility in the United States in 2024 was $5,900 per month. Based upon this data, the Planner’s default modeling includes $1,966/mo for 12 months and then $5,900/mo for 16 months in today’s dollars or $117,992 over your lifespan.
- On March 4, 2025 we released an enhancement which allows users to change the percentage of excess income saved up to 5 times during their lifespan.
- On March 4, 2025 we released an enhancement to the Roth Conversion Explorer, allowing users to select an age range in the Roth Conversion Explorer. This enhancement allows users to better manage tax brackets.
- On March 3, 2025 we released a refined tax expense model. With this release we transition to a forward-looking model, which better aligns estimated payments with actual tax liability. The refined model builds upon our existing approach to provide greater accuracy and clarity for our users.
