Nancy Gates

Role
Nancy is a wealth of knowledge and loves working with the Boldin community as an educator and coach. You’ll meet her during Office Hours, in Classes, and in Live Plan Review Sessions. Her goal is to educate and support you as you design your plan with complete confidence for today and for the future.

Background
With a hunger to continue learning after her career as a Spanish teacher and department leader, Nancy immersed herself in the language of personal finance and has since completed a certificate in accounting, passed the FINRA SIE exam, and passed the NASAA Series 63, 65, and 66 exams.

In her free time
When she’s not crunching numbers, Nancy can be found on a hiking trail or curled up with a good book. She’s also an avid traveler and “templer,” having visited sites such as Teotihuacán, Machu Picchu and Angkor Wat.

Jean Allen

Jean has 9 years of financial coaching experience. In her most recent position with the United States Navy, she helped service members and their families create financial goals and an actionable plan for achieving them.

When she’s not helping you with your retirement plans, Jean is busy with her three young children.

Rae DeBruyne

With a natural talent for numbers, a sharp eye for detail, and a genuine desire to connect with others, Rae serves as a Financial Wellness Coach and Business Analyst at NewRetirement.

She enjoys exploring plans with users, guiding them through all the capabilities of the tool, and helping address their financial questions along the way.

Background
Rae’s analytical inclinations and desire for meaningful work making a difference in the lives of others led to an early career pivot from project management to the dynamic field of financial planning. She now has 5+ years of experience in the financial planning industry, having previously worked at small fee-only planning firms.

In her free time
Rae adores dogs, is an avid disc golfer, and loves to travel, especially places with awesome hiking trails.

Mike Richardson

Mike joined the Boldin team in 2024 after 30+ years in consulting and corporate America. He is a retired former executive pursuing his dreams in retirement as he works to publish a book, provide support to those planning for retirement, act as an AARP Tax Aide volunteer, and spend time with his family.

In his free time
When not engaged in one of his post-retirement pursuits, Mike enjoys spending time with his five children, sharing a good meal and a few laughs. He loves the Three Stooges and horror movies … watching alone, of course, as his wife walks away shaking her head.
