Michael Kauffman

Book with Michael

Role
“If you want it done right, do it yourself” has its merits — but when outcomes really matter, the right tools and guidance make all the difference. Michael helps simplify complex financial decisions, spot overlooked risks, and make the most of what Boldin offers. Sometimes that means reframing a problem outside the spreadsheet.Michael’s goal is to serve as a helpful resource alongside your planning journey.

Background
After serving in the Air Force, Michael began his finance career at Charles Schwab before moving to other financial institutions. That path shaped a deep commitment to making financial education more accessible — a value that brought him to Boldin.

In His Free Time
One of Michael’s love languages is “quality time”, so he enjoys spending time with his wife, who does not share this same love language and is perfectly content with personal time. He loves to be outside and active when able: biking, paddling, hiking, playing tennis, or landscaping at his home, preferably with his family or a friend he has successfully convinced to join. Michael believes that everything is better with music (especially country, blues rock, or oldies) in the background and when time allows, he enjoys learning to play the guitar.

That combination shapes his coaching style: translating complex financial data into clear insights and decisions people can act on with confidence.

In His Free Time
When he’s not exploring financial plans, David enjoys adventuring in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains – skiing, hiking, and spending as much time as possible outdoors. He’s also an avid reader & podcast listener who enjoys unwinding with a novel or discovering new ideas in personal finance and beyond.

Chuck McDonald
