September

  • Investments: Future. Released September 24, 2026, this PlannerPlus feature lets you explore investment strategies aligned with your Risk Profile and Life Stage. Take (or retake) the Risk Tolerance Survey, then compare strategies side by side. Explore-only for now; Apply to Plan is coming soon. Find it in the left menu, right after Investments: Today. Check out your strategies →
  • Document Vault. Released September 17, 2026, this PlannerPlus feature gives you a secure, AES-256 encrypted space to store essential financial documents — tax returns, insurance policies, estate documents, and more — directly within Boldin. Boldin AI can then parse and reference these files to answer questions and give your plan greater depth and context. Check out your Vault →
  • Planner Score. Released September 17, 2026 to all new users. Planner Score is a points-based reflection of how complete and active your Boldin plan is. It lives as a bar at the top of your planner: collapsed, it shows your score and a progress bar; expanded, it shows what’s driving your score and next actions you can take, each worth points. The more of your plan you complete, the more your score grows.
  • Investments: Today. Released September 2, 2026. See exactly how your money is allocated across every account, and whether it matches your Risk Profile. Check out your allocation→

August

  • As of August 4, 2026, Boldin AI can now make changes to your plan. Ask it to update your data, adjust assumptions, or add new accounts — and watch your projections update in real time. Keeping your plan current has never been easier.
  • On August 3, 2026, we updated HSA transfer logic so that HSA-to-HSA transfers are now treated as account rollovers and no longer generate a tax deduction. Only direct contributions and transfers from non-HSA account types to an HSA will result in a tax deduction.

July

  • As of July 29, 2026, the “Wisconsin retirement income subtraction” tax logic now takes spouse-specific income into account. Each year in the simulation, Wisconsin-taxable income is now tracked independently for Primary and Spouse so that when only one of them is eligible for the tax break, the calculation is based exclusively on their taxable income.
  • As of July 16, 2026, the Roth conversion opportunity metric assumes conversion taxes are paid from non-retirement funds.
  • On July 6, 2026, we released View Full Plan. A single, document-style view of your entire financial plan — key numbers, charts, and tables organized in one place, with insights and context woven throughout to help you understand what you’re looking at and what it means for your future.

June

  • On June 24, 2026, Boldin completed a full rebuild of the Savings Drawdowns and Transfers chart. All major withdrawal types — annuity purchases, Roth conversions, shortfall withdrawals, transfers, one-time expenses, real estate transactions, RMDs, and 10-Year-Rule distributions — now appear as individually labeled series.
  • On June 24, 2026, Boldin completed a full rewrite of the Social Security spousal benefit modeling engine, resolving a previously identified bug affecting cases where the lower-earning spouse claims before their FRA and qualifies for a spousal top-off.
  • On June 18, 2026, we revised the default potential reduction in Social Security benefits to 22% based upon the recently released 2026 Social Security Trustees Report.
  • On June 16, 2026, we added a Risk Tolerance Survey in account settings. Answer 7 short questions and we’ll map your answers to one of five risk profiles.
  • As of June 10, 2026, Boldin models Wisconsin’s state tax deduction on qualifying retirement income for individuals age 67 or older — up to $24,000 for individuals and $48,000 for married couples filing jointly.
  • As of June 3, 2026, users may model a transfer to pay off a mortgage on a future real estate purchase in Money Flows.
